Nancy Schreiner

Nancy Schreiner

At the beginning heART sessions, Nancy was timid and afraid of “making a mistake”. Her first painting on glass showed that she is good at creating a floral repeat pattern. She has experienced painting on a wall mural, paper, glass, fabric  and wood since participating in the heART of Friendship Art Program. Nancy is enthusiastic about her work and enjoys showing others what she has created.

Elaine Horst

Elaine is our senior artist.  Elaine enjoys painting floral designs and works mostly in purple and blue or pink and green hues. She is willing to join right in with the other participants and works quietly and diligently without a lot of supervision. She has particularly enjoyed painting on glass, but has also done some admirable work on paper and wood.

It was noted for some time that Fred has an artistic temperament and a good sense of color and design. He understands the art studio environment, and with some direction is able to do many types of artwork. Fred is good at learning new skills and has incorporated different brush strokes, spattering and sponging into his creative painting style. The longer we have worked with Fred, the more independent he has been about starting and completing a project. His work is unique and exciting.

Tim has a surprising artistic flair. His creative work just seems to flow out of him very easily. He has a natural sense of touch and knows how to make free and expressive brushstrokes. His work is uninhibited and bold. He isn’t afraid of doing something “wrong” or making a “mistake”, but rather dives into every new project with enthusiasm. Tim has produced some of the program’s best pieces .
